WAGO 294 Series Power Supply Terminal Blocks
294 series power supply terminal block connectors for the field connection of lighting fixtures and other devices. These 294 series lighting connectors can be used worldwide and allow connection of luminaires via WINSTA pluggable connectors or conventional wiring. The terminal blocks accommodate solid, stranded and fine stranded conductors with a wide cross section of 0.5 mm² to 2.5 mm² at the mains end. This cross section is equivalent to 18 AWG to 12 AWG (American Wire Gauge) and 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm (cross section of solid conductor on Asian Market). This feature makes the 294 series power supply terminal block ideal for use in America and Japan. A cage clamp connection allows conductors to be terminated without any preliminary preparation of the stripped conductor. These field wiring terminal blocks fulfil the requirements specified by household appliance standard IEC/EN 60335-1 which requires greater fire safety for unattended electrical household appliances. Versions of these 294 series terminal blocks are available with snap-in feet and PE ground contacts.
