PSR Forcibly Guided Coupling Relays
The PSR universal safety relays from Phoenix Contact are equipped with forcibly guided contacts as per EN 50205 for safe isolation.
The configurable coupling relays are a reliable choice to ensure the maximum safety to people and machinery. With forced guidance the N/O (Normally Open) and N/C (Normally Closed) contacts of an elementary relay are mechanically joined together. This stops the N/O and N/C contacts closing at the same time. When used with a suitable circuit, failure to open is detected.
The relays are often used for power amplification, electrical isolation and for increasing the number of contacts
Features and Benefits
SIL certified
Single-channel control
Reliable signal exchange between two systems with response function
Standards
DIN EN 50178, VDE 0160.
