Product details

TGS832 Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Gas Sensors

Gas sensors from Figaro for the detection of Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) or Halocarbon gases. These devices utilise tin dioxide (SnO2) semiconductor technology to provide an output proportion to gas concentration. The sensors have high sensitivity to the refrigerant gases commonly used in air conditioning systems and refrigerators, such as R-134a, R-404a, R-407c and R-410.

• Type TGS832-A00 has a gas diffusion hole in the sensor cap as well as in the sensor base and by using the sensor with a suction pump, response speed can be accelerated, making it suitable for portable gas leakage checkers.

• Type TGS832-F01 uses filter material in its housing to eliminate the influence of interference gases such as alcohol, resulting in a highly selective response to CFCs. This feature makes the sensor ideal for stationary type leakage detectors which require durability and a high degree of resistance to interference gases.

PCB Mounted Gas Sensors

Operating conditions in which Sensors are used will vary with each customer's application. Gas and oxygen sensors are not authorised for use as critical components in life support applications wherein a failure or malfunction of the products may result in injury or threat to life. Non-calibrated PCB gas sensors will not operate properly if not calibrated prior to usage.
