PLS (Safety) Area Protection - Presence Detection & Mobile (AGV) Collision Avoidance
The PLS laser scanner represents state of the art non-contact proximity detection for hazardous areas for applications. The device is approved to IEC 61496-1 and is a type 3 safety device.,Protection and warning fields are freely programmable using the supplied software. (5m RS-232 cable available separately – see accessories) allowing each laser scanner to be set up according to installation requirements,This product is listed in Schedule 4 "Machinery Posing Special Hazards" of "The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 1992" and Regulation 11 of "The Provision of Work Equipment Regulations 1992" Installation should be carried out subsequent to reference to HSE publication HSG 180 "Application of ESPE using light curtains and light beam devices to machinery" under "ESPE installation. General Requirements".
