Product details
Telemecanique Inductive Proximity Sensors OsiSense XS - M12.
Telemecanique Inductive Proximity Sensors OsiSense XS series allow you to detect all types of objects in all applications providing high detection performance for metal objects. This inductive sensor range with industry recognised high performing technology provide non-contact detection of material up to 20 mm. Inductive proximity sensors are available in flush and non-flush models (shielded and non-shielded).
OsiSense inductive proximity sensors are purely for detecting any metal objects up to 60 mm and include an oscillator with windings (an alternating magnetic field is generated in front) making up the sensing phase.
Styles Available.
- Single (XS512) and double (XS612) nominal detection range.
- Flush and Non-Flush (shielded and non-shielded).
- Short and long body.
- PNP and NPN versions (compatible with PLCs and controllers).
- 2 Wire DC, AC or AC/DC versions (available to be installed as a limit switch).
- High switching frequency.
- Output via 2 m cable or M12 and 1/2 x 20 UNF connector (4 cts.).
How do they work and where can I use them?
Inductive proximity sensors contain a coil and an oscillator, these create an electromagnetic field close to the sensing surface. When metal enters this field, a change occurs in the oscillating amplitude. This, in turn, changes the sensor output, showing you and equipment that metal has been sensed. Inductive proximity sensors are suitable for use most industries. Inductive sensors are unaffected by oil, dirt or surface finish and can be used in high vibration and high shock areas.
Applications.
- Railway.
- Mobile equipment.
- Lists and escalators.
- Hoisting.
- Material handling, conveying, logistics.
- Material working, machine tools.
- Packaging.
- Food and beverage.
- Robotics.
