Eaton PowerXL Compact Inverter Drives DC1 Series - Three-Phase Input 400V
The Eaton DC1 inverter series of compact variable frequency drives have been specifically designed for simple applications. With only 14 basic parameters and simple mounting and installation, the DC1 drives are perfect for quick commissioning. These compact variable frequency drives are ideal for mass production applications in the field of machine building. Expansion modules can be easily plugged into these drives and make it possible to expand the number of I/Os. Typical applications for these drives include fans, pumps, and conveyor systems.
Features and Benefits
Three-phase input / three-phase motor connection
Digital LED display
These drives can be used as stand-alone units directly on-site if they are equipped with a setpoint potentiometer, a selector switch, and a mains transfer switch.
Fast commissioning with 14 basic parameters
V/Hz control with start voltage boost and slip compensation
Integrated PI controller
Integrated CANopen and Modbus
Large overload capability: 150% for 60 seconds, 175% for 2 seconds
A high-performance range of 0.37kW to 22 kW for maximum flexibility
IP20 & IP66 rated enclosure
How do Inverter Drives Work?
Inverter drive, also known as AC drives, variable frequency drives (VFD) variable speed drives (VSD) or frequency converters, are a type of speed drive that allows you as the user to adjust the speed or output torque of electric motors. Inverter drives are controlled by inputting specific frequencies or parameters into the device to tell it what to do, allowing for greater control over your machinery and operations. These drives have many applications of use from small appliances like a simple fan and pump load all the way through to high torque machine control applications.
