Product details
RS PRO Inductive Proximity Sensor
Introducing the range of RS PRO Inductive Proximity Sensors. These versatile and high-quality sensors are an essential addition to any environment where measurement of attributes like pressure, thickness, etc. are integral to business operations, like manufacturing plants and industrial environments. With the RS PRO seal of approval, you are guaranteed a premium performance product, without the premium product price tag.
Features and Benefits:
Inductive sensors offer precise detection, long-term reliability and high accuracy
The sensors are completely encapsulated, which greatly increases shock and vibration resistance and are non-flush mounted
They also have an IP rating of 67 and are built from a nickel-brass housing with a PBT sensing face
These inductive sensors are non-embeddable and feature an LED indicator for easy, visual identification
The operating temperature ranges -25 to +75°C
Additional features include a short circuit, overload and reverse polarity protection
2m PVC
Applications:
An inductive proximity sensor is a non-contact device that is able to detect the presence or absence of virtually any object regardless of material. The sensors do this by using a coil and oscillator inside the sensor that creates an electromagnetic field close to the sensing surface and when there is a change occurs in the oscillating amplitude, it is able to pick up these variations.
These sensors are especially useful for production or laboratory environments where certain attributes need to be monitored for effective working and for the guarantee of quality, like measuring pressure, flow, thickness, liquid level and so much more.
